Why hello there Eager Beagle readers! I haven't been around much lately, that's M's fault she's been a
lazy typist lately it's not like I haven't had things to say, she doesn't get around to writing them. So what have I been up to? Well honestly a fair amount of sitting in the chair by the window either recharging the beagle batteries in the early sprint sunshine or looking out at the drizzle searching for firm signs of spring....
You can't see it in this picture but there are actually 3 rather chubby robins in the cherry tree, from what I understand they are a sign of spring but I like to keep a sharp eye on them to make sure that they don't do anything sneaky in my front garden... you never know with birds, every once in a great while I have to bark at them to keep them in line.
As you can see my beloved snow has gone away, leaving behinds lots of MUD which I also love.... and seem to pick up quite a bit of in the yard...
Picture that on all my legs plus my belly, my face, my ears and even the top of my head. M does not like the "months of mud" we get up here... things should dry up by July... how boring life will be then.
I've also spent a fair amount of time trying to sneak kitchen scraps....
this time I was aiming for the remnants of this....
M really out did herself this time... that's a burger (with bacon in it) cheese, more bacon, a potato pancake and an egg on an English muffin... I don't know who this Rachael Ray person is that showed M how to make this but she must be a delightful lady! Wonder if she would beagle sit me? Maybe she doesn't know about the no human food rule?!?!
I've also participated in several movie marathons at the casa... Lord of the Rings wraps up tonight, I have to make sure to get down there before M so I can get the good blanket without the responsibility of sitting on her lap and the blanket to keep her warm... sometimes that's too much pressure for a little guy like me. Sometimes I like to snuggle alone!
And that's all I've been up to... hopefully M gets back into regular blogging shape soon or I may have to consider hiring someone else for this!

Jedi Beagle says please consider donating...
To one of M's favorite causes Flower City Habitat for Humanity. She's on team called Babes in Tool Land that once a year raises funds and then dresses in matching work wear (see below, she's the one styling in the Bills hat) and help build a home for a single mother and her family. Please check out the description of Habitat for Humanity and consider donating on M's page located at: http://rochesterhabitat.donorpages.com/WomenBuild2012/MauraProctor

I LOVE the snow
Oh boy! I think we're going outside!!!
I can fly!!
I know that toy landed over here somewhere....
Got it!
Even my ears are excited!
No! I will not let it go... you want it you stick your head in the snow to get it!
Hey C why aren't you down here playing?
Ugh... a little snow up the ears!
Abominable snow dog says I think it's time for some hot chocolate

How unfair!
These are the super yummy smelling cupcakes M & C came home with yesterday....
I hoped against all hope that perhaps these were confections from one of those gourmet doggie bakeries I've heard rumors of.... sadly they were not.
So, this is me expressing my displeasure at their decision not to allow me a bite of cupcake... apparently chocolate is bad for dogs...
I think that is a lie perpatrated by human kind so they can keep all the choclate for themselves

Musings on the front window...
It is well known around the house that I LOVE the front window, M and C have quite thoughtfully placed my favorite chair there so that I may watch the goings on, on the street. I see many fantastic things from my favorite spot... kids going to school (to whom I always bark hello!), other dogs on walks (always a cause for loud barking... it isn't polite to let another dog pass without inviting them to play), leaves blowing down the street (more barking... don't stop in this yard!!), the cat from the neighbors house (another cause for loud barking, he never seems interested in playing with me but you never know he might change his mind) and one I even saw a fox (cause for MUCH barking, mostly because I didn't know what he was).
Anyway despite my attachment to the chair/window combination M & C insist on moving it once a year only to put up the "Christmas Tree"... whatever.... here I am watching with much consternation as my spot is dismantled:
This was followed by much nervous pacing... AHHHH! Where is my chair... how will I reach the widow?? Ahhh!
I resign my self to napping in the chair on the other side of the room... *sigh* this is no where near as fun, now where near as interesting... nothing to see in the silly backyard
Maybe if I nap under the tree it will be better...
It isn't .... plus M yells at me to get out from there... ahhh I hate this month!
Then finally... the joy!! The relief!! My chair is back....
I can once again patrol the neighborhood and make sure none of the trees (or that cat) get out of line!

Taking down the Christmas tree sure looks like hard work....
Which is why I'm glad the most that was expected out of me was to lay quitely on the chair... I sure hope they move this over infront of my favorite window soon... the backyard is very boring to look at!

I'm back!! (again)
Hi all!
I know it's been a long and beagle-less month for all my readers... sorry about that guys, but trust me its been worse here. I've barely seen either of my parents all month long. M has been super busy with this thing humans have called "jobs" I don't see what all the fuss is about those, but apparently that's what keeps me well fed so I guess it's important that she has one, since I don't like to be hungry (I don't like to be ignored either but whatever). And C has been super busy in the basement, but more on that later.
So it's been a long month for poor little me, but many things around here haven't changed. For example the Christmas tree is still in the living room!! That's good for me because I like to hide under it, M seems to think it's embarrassing though, I've heard rumors it's coming down this weekend, I better enjoy it while I can....
I still do naughty things, like stealing items off the counters and eating them...
caught in the act darn it all!
I still love animal crackers...
(don't worry I got one)
and of course I still love to sleep... good thing too since that's how I've been filling my time lately...
But then again many things around here changed this month primarily due to C since M was nowhere to be found... I'm super excited because the dark scary basement, with the super scary open stairs has become a wonderfully cozy "movie room"
turns out the stairs aren't so scary once they are covered in carpet
and thankfully the movie room turns out to be another pretty excellent place to take a nap!!
